DESCARBONIZA

The DESCARBONIZA project aims to support Portuguese agri-food companies in adopting practices and technologies that contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and accelerating the transition towards a low-carbon economy.

Through studies, tools, training activities, technology demonstrations, and practical guides, the project will help companies identify opportunities for improvement in energy efficiency, renewable energy adoption, and the sustainable use of resources.

The project brings together business associations, universities, research centres, and technology transfer organisations, combining specialised expertise to accelerate the green transition of the agri-food sector. Through this initiative, the project seeks to strengthen business competitiveness, reduce the environmental impact of industrial activities, and contribute to achieving national and European carbon neutrality targets
